Police Officer Assaulted With Cigarette
An Arizona woman was arrested Saturday night for shoplifting and aggravated assault on a police officer after she flicked a cigarette she was smoking at the officer and hit him on his pant leg.
Mavis Keepin, 52, allegedly entered a convenience store and went behind the counter to select two packs of cigarettes, then walked back to the front counted and selected two lighters and decided to leave the store without paying for any of the items.
When police approached Keepin, she flicked her lit cigarette and yelled profanities while attempting to spit on the officer while being taken into custody.
